Thanks for everyone's comments. I will start with the Carb and also shut off the gas, since the tractor only gets started once or twice a month and sits the rest of the time, that solution seems to make the most sense right now. If it doesn't take of it, I'll look at other options such as the compression and rings. I appreciate all the responses and I'm glad I found this website and talkgroup...you guys are great! Dave
