I have seen homemade sleeve pullers that was size of piston with a rim at bottom ( kind of cup and saucer effect ) that caught sleeve and had a ring in the center that hooked to a chain hoist. The motor was left in tractor with head ,pan, and the pistons removed , I have seen " M " Farmalls front wheels lifted off the floor before they finally came loose. If you don't have a welder to make one, then I would see if some one would have one I could borrow. Good luck.
