Dale is correct. The "62" was built in extremely small numbers, and was basically the production prototype for the unstyled "L". The most striking difference is the "JD" on the "chin" under the radiator. What sticks in my mind is that there were something like 83 built. Figuring attrition over the years, perhaps only half that many are still around. Barring one-off prototypes and experimental tractors, the "62" is one of the rarest Deeres ever made. Anybody interested in old Deeres would love to have a "62". You were lucky to get to see one sell.
