Tom all you have is some mesh looking screen with a pipe in the middle.Dont worry you are not missing anything but oil in the cup.what you have is a is a filter that uses oil as the paper element you are used to.the bottom cup should have a line on it as to how far you should fill it,you can use the same oil you use in the engine.Then just keep a eye on it from time to time,cared for it is a very good system.
