Possible gas in oil

I recently bought a Ford NAA in good condition. I changed the oil using 30wt. nondetergent, clean the air filter which was partially blocked by wasp nest, replaced points, condenser, distr cap, coil, plugs and plug wires. When I bought it, it ran and idled very well with only a small "poofing" at idle. Oil pressure was a solid 35-40 lbs at 3/4 trottle and it needed to be choked a little when cold started. Also, after cleaning the air filter, I adjusted the carb a little. Now its running a little rougher, oil pressure is consistently down and fluctuates more (15-25 lbs) and it no longer needs to choked when started and floods easily. Also, I'm getting some oil blow out the oil fill and I swear the oil seems thinner and might smell of gas. This scares me so I haven't run it since. Could gas be leaking in from the carb? What might cause this? If the carb is leaking that badly, would the tracter still run? Have I likely done damage to the engine even though I believe this condition may be recent. I didn't notice anything unusual about the oil when I drained right after I bought the tracter. Finally, a compression test this morning showed 135, 140, 135 and 135 lbs. which I don't think is to bad.
