S.C.A.M................
All the local auctioneers in my area, are refusing to accept casheirs checks (cheques...HA) Seems that they are the latest method of operation for scammers, and rip-off artists.
First off, doesn't it seem odd that they never ask about the condition of what you're trying to sell? They just want it, no questions asked.
Secondly, they always seem to be buying it for someone else. Possible, but unlikely.
I have had several "replies" on low dollar items, say under $250, that I've listed in adds. Why on GOD's green earth would someone offer more than my asking price, then pay huge shipping cost's to ship it overseas, when the same items are still available in their part of the world?
I follow the old axiom, If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
If you want to take a chance on them, just tell them to show up with U.S. cash ONLY. See how quick the "offer" is withdrawn.
Unfortunately, this website draws as many nuts, thieves, con artists, and scammers as it does good people, interested in tractors and farm equipment.
Don't feel alone. We've all got our share of scam replies. Some even look almost OK. Be carefull. There's a world full of loonies out there, just wanting your hard earned money. John

Today's Featured Article - New Hitches For Your Old Tractor - by Chris Pratt. For this article, we are going to make the irrational and unlikely assumption that you purchased an older tractor that is in tip top shape and needs no immediate repairs other than an oil change and a good bath. To the newcomer planning to restore the machine, this means you have everything you need for the moment (something to sit in the shop and just look at for awhile while you read the books). To the newcomer that wants to get out and use the machine for field work, you may have already hit a major roadblock. That is the dreaded "proprietary hitch". With the exception of the ...
