You have opened up the "can-o-worms" again. This is fun when I see this posting. You just might see some folks with maybe a little preference to tractor brands. Choosing a tractor is as personal as underware. My suggestion is listen to what everyone posts. You will get a lot of good advice and good natured kidding about what brand to pick. There are some points you should make clear. Do you want to tinker with an older tractor with tremendous character, historical importance, and aesthetic beauty. Do you want one where you will have the adventure of hunting down rare and valuable parts, and have the satisfaction of saving this antique for posperity (I am describing the best tractor ever built, the Oliver) or do you want one that will start easy in the freezing cold, and has more bells and whistles than a bicycle parade? You ar talking a $10,000 hobby tractor. By the way the best way to sell your sweetie on the tractor is wait until winter when the snow falls and give her the choice of his and her snow shovels or his and her keys to the tractor as you look down that 1000 foot drive. By the way, if you have a thousand foot drive way and two acres, is your property wide enough to park a tractor? ....
