Depends on where you are. I sell 60-70 tons a year to a local dairy farm. Most grain dealers will not buy ear corn, but feed mills will. Good thing about ear corn is that you don't need to dry it. I get $80 a ton for mine. You get approximately 28.5 bushels of shelled corn from 1 ton of ear corn. Current price for shelled corn here is $2.10 per bushel. I get $2.80 for 70 lbs. of ear corn (yields 56 lbs of shelled corn, one bushel), plus I save $.30 or so per bushel on drying. On top of that, the buyer comes with a wagon and picks it up. I don't have to pay for trucking. BTW, 2 acres of ear corn wouldn't be worth the investment in machinery. You'll most likely get between 3 and 4 tons per acre.
