Jay: if you have some clay in your ground, go for 3 12's or 2 16's. See if you have a neighbour with the size you want to try that will lend it to you for an hour. Try the tractor with the plough in a gear that you would normally use for ploughing. Start off at an idle. If the plough is the right size you should be able to open the throttle and the tractor will pick up and go with no stumbling or lugging. Don't blow the guts out of a good old tractor just to be able to pull an extra foot of plough. Tom
