Naw man. The 2 lines down the side are high pressure output from the pump to the lift and fluid return to the sump from the lift. I know this because one of my tractors has a hydraulic filter buried in the bottom of the sump and it is in the return line and filters the fluid as the last thing done before the fluid enters the sump. Kinda stupid to filter after the fact, but not so stupid when you consider there is no pressure at that point. To answer your question about a high pressure filter, my Deere has 2 pressure systems. 1 the 2500 psig 24 gpm pressure line to operate all hydraulics. 2. The 150 psig system that circulates hydraulic fluid to the cooler in front of the radiator and back. The filter is in this line and it is a cartridge filter.....get this....with a 4" dia steel cover with a wall thickness of about .100 inch. can't emagine how thick that cover would have to be if it were in the 2500 psig high press line. I really don't know where to tell you to put it so that it is functional and convenient for installation....my philosophy is if it has one ok, if not I just change the fluid every year or two (depending on shedded/use/weather and all) and don't worry about it.....remember boom!
