All lines should be equal length. To check the length push a small wire thru the entire length and measure. I.D. and O.D. should be the same also. Some blue tractors had unequal lengths to save a bend or a quarter your guess is as good as mine. Lines expand and contract and act as shock absorber of sorts. Lines can change fuel deliveries in certain instances. Fuel shops use a LARGE assortment of lines to meet specifications. Seems all manufacturers want their pumps to be calibrated with their lines and not a standard line. Have seen fuel differences of up to 15ccs with improper lines. Have posted this earlier but the thing kept coming back as no name and wouldn't post it. Diesel Dan (the pump man)
