Mark,, You really hit the nail on the head.. You are so right.. The Department of Homeland Security has to show the public that they are doing something, so they raise the alert level a few time a year, then when nothing happens some think they are doing such a wonderful job. They are just justifying their existance. Now the new trick is to cancel international flights to the U.S. as a show of force.. Thanks Tom and George.. In my opinion, OBL or whoever, wouldn't try the same trick again. They have bombed hotels, embassys, amry barracks, a ship, the World Trade Center, once with a truck bomb then with two airliners. I'm sure he has different tricks up his sleeve besides trying the same thing twice. The best cure for the threat is to kill the agressor. Two and a half years later and he's still at large with a 50 million dollar price on his head. Kind of goes to show that money isn't everything to everyone in the world. Like you said Mark, Homeland Security can't stop the millions who cross our southern border every year and who's to say all of those crossing are Mexicans. I'm sure if some Afgan, or other middle easterner were to make it to Mexico and offer a coyote 5 grand to usher him and his baggage across the border, he would probably drive him across in a limo. When Tom Ridge and his gang can stop the illegal entries into the U.S. I will say they are doing a good job. Dick
