I bought a Kubota B275(21HP) in 2000 after looking at it and the JD's. It was about $1500 cheaper and came with mid PTO standard. It has performed flawlessly ever since. Be sure to get the hydrostat drive and 4x4. The hydro will work circles around a stick shift and the 4x4 turns it from a lawn mower into a real tractor and will amaze you at what it can do. I did not like the Yanmars offered since all were gray market tractors and hydrostat were not available. The tires on them were ag type with tread about 4" deep.
