I have a question for those of you who belong to clubs that put on shows. Do you charge everyone, just viewers or no one to enter? If you charge, does one price pay for all days or is each day a separate charge? Our club show is this coming weekend and we do not charge anyone. We count on food sales and donations to cover the approx. $800.00 cost. It has worked so far and no members are stuck selling tickets and working the gate (by the way we don't have a fence to have a gate in). It is not a large show (about 100 tractors and 40 or so old trucks) but a lot of fun anyway. We have no steam machines but have done ok without. Every thing is privately owned so the club owns nothing. There is oat thrashing, saw milling, feed grinding and corn husking by old machines. Every one eats well and has a good time. I belong to another club that owns their own show grounds with many building and much equipment and charges viewers but no one who displays. One button pays for all three days. They too sell lots of food.
