i have rebuild alot of engines and all the ones that people had ran non detergent oil in were right full of sludge i mean bad if the motor is getting over hauled i would run 15w40 in it if it is not been taken apart and cleaned i would switch to detergent but change quite often to get all the crap out the only good thing about non detergent oil is if you have a old engine that leaks and uses oil seems like non detergent will plug it up but think about it if it plugs leaks whats that do the oil channels???
