When I read science fiction that is just what I expect fiction. As mentiond earilier I have heard that John Deere painted tractors didfferent colors for different agencies I did see a red John Deere when I lived in Washington state I have also seen red Allis tractors and I saw an orange Ford once. So who is to say that the author did not know about an old red John Deere?
