WE use a a JD 336 and a 346 al the time and have very few problems with them at all under normal conditions. I won't knock an NH though as I have seen then do as much as Deere. We used to have an old Oliver baler that run really good also. Big thing isto be sure whichever you buy is not worn out (obviously) but check the knotters real good for wear and loose parts. Right now the knotters on our 346 are worn out and are gonna need replacing (read expensive). Check to make sure everything in there is tight as well as the bale plunger,flywheel, u-joints, etc. I have seen balers of most any brand bale really good and some wouldn't tie a bale if you payed it to. if you plan on doing alot of baling get a Jd or NH or even a Hesston if you can. For baling around your farm for say 200-500 bales a year most anything that is in good shape will work.
