Case 680C Backhoe

I'll be looking at a Case 680C that's for sale. Seller say's the brakes don't work at all and it leaks 2 gallons every 15 minutes from the torque converter seal. That's as detailed as he could get. Can anyone give me some advice on what to look for as far as the brakes and what would be involved in the oil seal job. Thanks in advance. John
