New spark plugs, gapped correct. new points and condensor corectly gauges and installed. new fuel, sediment bowl, and filter. carbeurator cleaned, float checked, new gaskets. new battery, installed correctly, with a pos ground. I am getting fire to the plugs, but all i get is an occasional backfire. the only thing i have not done is go into the top of the engine, ie checking for bent pushrods, bad valves etc. anyoney with feed back is appreciated. thanks labloye@yahoo.com
