Dodge used D and W 150, 250, and 350 along with the 100, 200, and 300. I'm not sure what the differances are between them unless they are like Chevy's Heavy Half and Heavy 3/4. Just a little more weight capacity maybe. I know that they had both at the same time as I am looking out the window at my 1985 W350 as I'm typing this and I sold my 1985 W150 last summer. I also have a 1978 W150 and have seen "hundred" versions of all of them. My '70's vintage Ramchargers and Trailduster were W100's though, but my buddies '80's vintage Ramcharger was a W150. As for the new model designations, I believe that Dodge said that they switched to the new designations because they were more recognizable. Just my longwinded $.02.
