it might also be the process of powering an engine with another engine, a line shaft, an electric motor, what have you... to do pretty much the same thing as breaking it in. however this way there is no fuel or spark involved. i have a 1929 auto book around here somewhere that describes such a process, i will find it and look and see if that's what it is, and what all is involved. -karl
