You will hear enough about the right backhoe to buy.....I'am going to talk about the pond.....lay off the top of the dam so you know where to put the spilway....put a 55 gal drum,filled with stone , with a 3" PVC pipe coming out the side and through the dam,with a valve on it.....you may need tt empty the pond some day....you may also want to put a T in this line with a valve and a float valve for a livestock watering tank......too keep the livestock out of the pond.......been there and done that....Oh by the way,be sure to dig a footer for your earth dam....keeps water from leaking under .....dam width?...wide enough to easly drive across with tractor and mower.....
