I wasn't going to give you the whole story but since you brought up the subject of tipping the bush hog up to sharpen the blades I'll give you "the rest of the story". We chain the tongue of our 10' Woods cutter to the bucket on the 580E Case backhoe and lift it straight up so we can stand next to the blades and they are about chest high so you can really get to them. We just pick it up enough to stand it up and leave the wheels on the ground. Once you get it up all the weight is on the wheels and the backhoe only holds it steady. I know Ralph Nader and a few others won't approve of this method but it sure beats crawling underneath and getting sparks in the face. Don't get me wrong we still take safety into account. Don't try this without a good stout loader that is in good shape and load tested chains with approved hooks etc. Not some log chain like everyone carries in the back of the beater truck that has had 5 pounds of welding rods goobered on it. Be Careful and good luck!
