All these posts remind my why I stopped attending auctions some 30 years ago. My time is worth more to me than spending all day to find out I could buy it at a store, market, resellers shop for about the same price in 10 minutes time. I'ver seen many people pay new prices for old beaten up equipment because they get sucked into the bidding fever. Well, I did attend a land auction last month to see what it sold for. The auctioneer got down to 2 bidders, stopped the auction, took each bidder into seperate rooms and shuttled between then with a cell phone talking to the owner. This proved I'm still right(for me); auctions are a waste of time and effort. And that's the way it is!
