There can be no doubt that prayer is needed and good. But along with the prayer needs to be a willingness to roll up our sleeves and get something done. There seems to be a faction or people that believe that they simply can pray about things and God will then automatically sort things out for them and everything will be OK. From little on up....my parents taught me that "God helps those who are willing to help themselves". I hate to see this war happen as much as anybody, but I have arrived at the conclusion that it is needed and just. After the 9/11, we as a nation can no longer afford to sit on our hands and "hope and pray" that things will be ok. My prayers will be in hoping to save as much harm and suffering as possible for both Americans and Iraqies, and for God's guidance for our President and all military people, that they make good judgements about how to accomplish this with the least possible amount of suffering and loss of life. And that our leaders will continue to be diligent in their efforts to track and prevent terrorism in the future.
