Actually, I really dislike most off-topic messages, such as all those you mentioned. I do like to give youngsters a chance tho, & even replied to the dating message in a positive manner. But, that whole day on this forum had some bad messages....

Probably the regulars can get by with a lot more stuff. They've paid their dues around here, some clowning around or off-topic stuff is no big deal - whereas a newcomer starting out off-topic, well we don't know what else is coming....

Religion, politics, or tractor/pickup brand is just all _stupid_ topics to bring up on a site like this. It only invites confrontation & bickering. IMHO

I've always thought it is a lot better to demonstrate your religion by the way you live, then to try to tell anyone about it with words. Words are pretty cheap. Actions are what counts. A lot of good people have elevated me with their actions. Most that used words on me ended up just talking down to me & trying to elevate themselves. Kinda have a bad taste in my mouth when people get to preachin' with words....

I hope when people look around here & judge me, my many posts have been both helpful & entertaining. Sometimes more of one than the other! And I hope they can overlook my crabby days & such. I just hope I leave this place a little better than I found it, and hope others do the same.

Hey, it's February - the middle of cabin fever season!!!! Actually people have been coming through it pretty good around here, compared to some years. :)

--->Paul
