Wild and domestic) animals are known to play on clear nights near a full moon. They seem to mix across species with certain limits (i.e. carnivores- (coyotes, dogs, cats) I have heard many first hand accounts and have seen otters and mink playing. Eastern coyotes are suspect of having domestic dog bread in so there may have been other factors. Coyotes killed one of our cats in the open right near my house and packs have been seen playing with a single dog. So, I am less inclined to believe the lure away and kill theory. Roger
