Well, having fun asking questions for tractor that can bale with lets say JD 14T & pull a 7-point field culivator. I read enough warnings that a minimal tractor may not be the better bet. A comfortable tractor is one of minimal physical size (to a point) with good visibility from the operators seat AND a machine that has some good weight & balance plus enough power RESERVE that the tractor is not working to its limit or outside of a tractors 'COMFORT ZONE'. Thus, per the feedback, there is a difference in just enough tractor to get the task done and a little extra reserve. Perhaps the ideal tractor for my needs should have the following minimum specifications: Weight- 4000lbs minimum, 4500lbs is better. Use extra ballast in tires & front if necessary to get there. Some extra front ballast is very good. Drawbar Horsepower- At least 35hp, 40hp is better. PTO- Live or Independent. Power Steering- Preferred. 3-Point Hitch- Nice extra. Wide Front- For novice/minimal operators. SOLID TRACTORS- Massey Ferguson 35 (Perkins preferred) Oliver 550 Ford 3000, 860/861 Allis Chalmers D-15 Series II HEAVY DUTY TRACTORS (extra weight or hp)- Allis Chalmers WD-45 Allis Chalmers D-17 Ford 4000 Massey Ferguson 65 Massey Ferguson 165 John Deere 1520 John Deere 2010

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
