Here in IN, they have spring and fall pick-up days for my county. BUT, they allow only 4 car tires or truck, will charge for big truck and farm tires. It's not too bad a price, like $3.00 or so each. There is a limit to what you can take at a time. My local landfill is taking tires for a fee, and limits how many. A lot more money spent there. I dumped 20" truck tires once and was $8 a pc for them. Ag tires were gonna be $15 each on big ones. I cut them up with my Sawzall and threw in junk a few pcs at a time till gone. It's hard to cut and vibrates alot, but can be done. LIke said, No Wonder everyone throws them in ditch along backroads. Battery's can go to dump too, no fee. Not sure on numbers.

One question...why would you have such a big collection and not taken care of it over the years? Got a big ditch? Throw stuff in and bury with dirt hauled in from contractors. They say the tires will work up to ground level over the years somehow.
