I have been letting my son drive my G John Deere around and even give him lesson after lesson on backing up to things without backing over them.He has been doing this for going on three years now but last summer at a pull he was going to drive up to the scale and just started backing up and he did not see the backhoe right behind him and if I had not been there to holler at him he would have backed right into the bucket with his head pinning him and maybe could have killed him.He is good on that tractor but at 12 years old he just don't realize what can happen. That has really opened my eyes and his too.He is real smart and aware but at that age there are somethings that they maybe he doesn't think about.Just my experience.
