my problem is with the dial-up connection to my server. until recently everything just fine. now when the dial-up window pops up there is most always a problem. either the password is absent or the dial up automatic box is unchecked etc. when i fill in the password it will connect. when this happens i loose my dropdowns from google or yahoo. if the the dial-up comes up and is correct and it goes on and connects automatically, then my bookmarks or dropdowns from the above sites are there. weird i think. i'll try some of your suggestion. sorry for the long post. thanks a lot.
