Brad, you sound like a very intellegent young man with a goal in life, if farming is what you want to pursue you'll be able to figure out how to reach that goal. Hands on experience in agri- culture is very important as is an agri business education. Go for it boy. As for the counselor that is trying to discourage you to pursue this career, ask him where he thinks the eggs, hashbrowns. and bacon comes from that he has for breakfast, the nice juicy steak he eats for supper, and the sugar that sweetens his can of pepsi that he sucks on all day at school that has contributed to his big fat belly. You might also let him know that there are only three ways to generate new wealth and that being minning, logging, and farming, the material things that come out of the ground and are renewable. Agri- culture is a gratifying career and I applaud all new generation farmers. Don't let anyone dis- courage you. Just a southern Idaho spud head.
