It might be a good idea to lean toward buying a new trailer, especially if you might haul the tractor anywhere else later. You can usually sell a trailer pretty good if you don't want it later. I don't think you need a 16 foot trailer for a Farmall A, but for a trip that long you would want 2 axles. I think a 10 or 12 foot utility trailer would work well as long as it is rated for the capacity. As far as Uhaul, I had a bad experience with them, they offered me a coupon on my next rental and I refused, telling them I couldn't trust them, and there wouldn't be a next time. They just don't get the message. Look around at some of the rental places that rent equipment that needs trailering, they have trailers to rent, but you will not be able to rent them ne way.
