The "Jubilee" is not a package on an 8N. The 8N was produced from mid '47 to late '52. The Golden Jubilee is a completely different tractor built to replace the 8N and in part to comply with the terms of the settlement of the lawsuit brought against Ford by Harry Ferguson for patent infringement. After Ford cut Ferguson out of the "handshake agreement" they continued to use his Ferguson system hydraulics in the 8N without paying him or even referencing his name on the system. Harry won the case and Ford had to cease and desist. So they came out with their own version of the 3ph on a new tractor. The Golden Jubilee is really a model NAA tractor that was produced for 2 years (model years '53 and '54). Only the '53 is called the Golden Jubilee in honor of the Ford Motor Company's 50th anniversery. The biggest improvements in the NAA/Jubilee over the 8N were live hydraulics and a more powerful overhead valve engine to replace the old flathead used in the 8N. It was also slightly bigger. Some options that were available included live pto that was dealer installed (I believe) and was apparently very fragile. No replacement parts are available for it now (the live pto option, that is). Other parts for the tractor are very available and it is climbing in collector value each year. Next year is the Golden Jubilee of the Golden Jubilee. Starting in '55 Ford started producing various models with several improvements over the NAA. However because the appearance didn't drastically change, many people mistakenly call these later tractors Jubilees. Only the '53 is a Golden Jubilee. Here's another source for info.
