I believe you could just bolt a unit on as this is a fully independent type PTO. I think they had the reactor band type PTO on this one, the later model IH's had the clutch plate type PTO's. The drawback is that it could get pricey to purchase a complete PTO unit from a salvage yard. I recall purcasing one over 10 years ago for a Farmall 560 and it was $300 at that time.
