Here's my 6.2 diesel, with 198,000 miles, i bought it new. I can go out today, start it and head for ??? It's totally reliable, and i've "never" had to open the engine! Yes, i've went through a few starters, and (2) injection pumps, and glow plugs, but this truck had had a very rough life. I've even pulled a couple loads to Alaska with it! I also have a 84 model with a 6.2 diesel. It has 100,000 miles on it, and has had nothing but a starter and glow plugs! I've also had (2) others that went 100,000+ miles with out opening the engines. After haveing said that, i'd NOT buy a 6.5 with electronic injection pump. Robert
