Michael, a friend of mine is on the board of directors for the Worlds Expo, so I have a flier. DATE: June 27 - 28 - 29, 2003 Internet site is www.tractorexpo.com Old Threshers is always Wed. (before) thru Labor Day. Don't have their site handy, may be www. Oldthreshers.com I've been to both and each has something spectacular going for it. Old Threshers is a step WAYYY back in time, no tractors newer than 1939 (I think). Lots of horse drawn equip. and exhibits. TONS (literaly) of those smoke belching steamers. They have a couple of buildings as museums, HUGE!! Heck, I could go on but there may be a limit somewhere to how much information the internet can handle. LOL The Worlds Expo is more along the modern lines of a tractor show with ALL brands and many LESSER KNOWN tractors showing up. The one I attended in 2001 had Silver Kings, CO-OPs, Leaders, Averys, etc. along with Olivers, Deeres, A-C, IHC, MM, Ford....you get the picture. Flier says museums will be open and my GUESS is the steam engines WILL be out and FIRED UP. Just depends what strikes your fancy. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. May see you at either one. Jim T

The saga starts with the following message: Hey guys I have a decision to make. I know what you all will probably suggest and it will probably agree with me way down inside, but here it is. I have a picture blown up and framed in my "tractor room" of a Farmall M. It was my Grandpa's tractor, of which whom I never got to meet. He froze to death getting this tractor out of the barn to pull a truck out of the ditch before I was born. Anyway my dad and aunt had to sell it at the auction, ... [Read Article]
