Sounds like your control valve may be stuck. Remove side plate on right side and see if your levers inside are moving with the outside control. Make sure you have 90 weight GL1 or 80/90 GL5 fluid in rear end. I put a loader on a 539 some years ago. Took front pulley to a machine shop and had it drill and taped to fit a front mount hydraulic pump.
