roll-pin? shaft? of..... Well I now own a useless $32 timing light, because the timing marks on this tractor's flywheel have apparently worn off. The flywheel is smooth except for some dirt--the timing hole cover was off. So I turned the distributor, in two successive increments, about a total of 10-15 degrees as you suggested, Sod, and that brought the tractor to nearly full power under load. I can work with it now, but it still seems a bit underpowered. Anyone know of a way to hit the timing on spec without marks? It's supposed to be 4 degrees before top dead center at 450 rpm. I don't have a working tachometer, but that may be academic. It no longer clanks or clicks. Thanks Sod Andy
