There are some parts out there that can be purchased for a lot less than at the dealers. Some cannot. Most all the dealers, including John Deere, get many of the parts they sell accros the counter from these other suppliers and mark them up two or three hundred percent for you. There are good mechanics out there too who can do as good a job on your equipment as any dealer can. Some do better as if they don't they won't be around long. Look for one who will stand behind their work and who has been doing it for some time. I know of two in my area that do excellent work and stand behind it.
