TJ, We refinish at least a two dozen tractors in our ag mechanics program each year. I try to avoid sand blasting at all costs. Huge mess, sand in nooks and crannies (and engine/hydraulics). Silicates can also be a problem. If you sand blast indoors a lot of silicon gets into the air and I've never been able to paint in the same area where I've done a lot of sand blasting. Steam clean, remove all sheet metal, wheels. Steam again. Sand (I like 240 with a D.A.) all steel parts, wire brush (brush in air drill) all castings, prime, wet sand, prime and topcoat over wet primer. If I have to blast I use a Harbor Freight blaster with extra fine blasting sand and do it outdoors on removed parts only. DAB
