Years ago while working at my father's local JD shop, we had 2 brothers that put rings in an "H", they went to crank it, it wouldn't crank, so they brought the mag in,it checked good, they then went back and got the carburetor, it checked out o.k., they wenr back and pulled it around for about another day, then the next day they brought it in to the shop, we started very carefully looking for the problem, when we got to the carb. to manifold gasket it had no hole in it for the gas to pass through, seems one of them cut a gasket out of a shoebox lid and didn't bother to cut a center hole in it!! He sure didn't save any money by making that gasket himself!! Gene Davis
