From experience, I really liked the old 2 cylinder deeres. My first was a John Deere B. I believe I had the engine block out of the tractor in about an hour. Real easy to work on. After I finished the tractor I hated it for a few reasons, there was no three point hitch for one, it wasn't a rare tractor at all, so I sold it and got a John Deere 420T a great tractor on the farm. I suggest getting those Videos sold here on engine rebuild and tune up etc. Very helpful although not 100% accurate, Also get the parts and service manuals, it will help you from scratching your head not knowing what to do next... Just a couple tips, I don't claim to be an expert! Karl
