Baffled by Oliver 770 Hydraulic Problem (HELP!!)

I am very confused by my otherwise beloved and trusty Oliver 770 (it was my Dad's first new tractor).

The tractor has a dual hydraulic remote on the right side and my Dad plumbed a single hydraulic remote on the left side. He plumbed it the same way as a 77 he has and it works fine on this tractor. I need the dual remotes to run the hydraulic tongue (on dual acting cylinder) on my haybine and want the single remote to operate the two single acting cylinders that lower and raise the haybine.

The problem is, when I plug the haybine into the single remote, it will RAISE the haybine, but it refuses to lower. I have plugged my Massey 22 into the haybine and it will raise and lower fine. FURTHERMORE, I have plugged the Massey's loader (also single acting cylinders) into the single remote on the Oliver and the 770 will move the loader up AND down. But it won't work with the haybine.

Is it something to do with the added weight of the haybine? Is there something amiss with the hydraulics on the tractor?

It makes for a pain in the A** because I have to unplug one of the swing hoses on the haybine and and then plug in the lift cylinder so I can raise and lower the haybine at the end of the round. But then I can't adjust the swing on the haybine and it tends to drop a little when it is on the downhill side and I have to drive on my last windrow.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
