I had to smile when I read what you wrote. My old uncle (gone now....but never forgotten) farmed with an M and a H--John Deere....I can remember standing on the draw bar of the M going down the road in 5th gear...and he'd roll a cigarette...most amazing thing....one handed...and then stike a match under the seat on the M and light his smoke...and never let off the throttle.....how it did it I'll never know!! I remember thinking the M farmall was just about the hugest tractor I could ever even imagine.
