Called my insurance agent about getting liability and collision insurance on a 1995 Freightliner FL60 box truck. Truck only cost $9,500 and yet the insurance was quoted at $2,000 a year ! Asked how much for liablity only and answer was only $200 less than full coverage...theory is, at 22K gvw your gonna do some bad damage in a wreck, so liability is high. My driving record is spotless btw...$2,000 is probably double what I pay per year for two fairly new personal vehicles, worth 3 times what this truck is. Any specialized "trucker" carriers that are cheaper ?
