I guess my most important piece of advice would be to take your time and do the research. Most of the larger bookstores have general tractor books that cover most makes. Your local library could also be a good resource. Second piece of advice is to buy the best tractor you can afford and that will do the job for you. Most 60's models will have the features that are most desireable like live PTO, power steering and three point hitch. Horsepower wise you should probably be in the 30 to 45 HP area. With that kind of horse power you will be able to power a decent sized mower. Also, think about your needs for snow removal if you are in that part of the country. Most important don't be afraid to ask questions, there are many of us who will be happy to help. John
