Went to an auction sale not too far from here last Saturday. An old fella was selling his collection, I think there were about 25 tractors in all, mostly John Deeres. All but about 2 or 3 were restored and all were in good running condition (all were started up). The restorations were "OK", nothing to write home about but "restored" (that word has a variety of meanings) nevertheless and pretty straight and for the most part, complete. All were on rubber (except the Oil Pull Rumley) and the tires ranged from useable to good. Some were electric start, others flywheel start. Here are some prices in Canadian dollars so if you want to convert to US dollars, take about 1/3 off the price (so, $1000 Cdn would be about $650 US, etc.).

Rumley Oil Pull (missing ID tag)- they said it was a 25-40 but I'm sure it was much smaller, maybe a 15-25 or something ... $13700

JD 420 (no 3 pt hitch)... $4100
JD A (row crop) ... $2500
JD M ... $4000
JD LA (sold to a guy from Texas) ... $6900
Ford 9N ... $1600
JD D's styled,(various ones) ... $1000 to $2500
JD D (unstyled) ... $3250
JD early AO's (various ones) ... $1100 to $2300
JD R (good rubber and nice) ... $2200
JD 60 ... $2600
Massey Harris 30 (unrestored) ...$900
Cockshutt 30 ... $1800
Massey Harris 44 ... $1300

I'm not too much into John Deere but I'd say most of them went pretty cheap (except the real collectable ones). The Ford went cheap. The MH30 and Cockshutt were pricey I thought. What do you think of the prices?
