Can't answer any of your questions, but just to be able to buy a tractor from the original owner is a plus. How he keeps his place looking is a good indication of how the tractor was maintained. Implement dealers very seldom keep a local trade in inventory very long. Machinery traders will travel the country looking for junk that they can mark up and sell, between the two, they could teach used car dealers many, many tricks of the trade.
