I have a JD 1010 industrial with a front end loader and backhoe. Out of the blue the loader bucket now creeps to the dump position when the control is in neutral. The bucket has two cylinders, and I doubt they could both start leaking internally the same time so I suspected the control valve. I removed the control valve piston (if you call it that) from the dump/curl control section, came out ok and looked ok. I didnt see any orings inside the bore it came out of, just slot openings. Cleaned it out, reassembled with no help, same problem. Moved the curl hose to the dump output of the control and vice versa so that now moving the lever to dump makes the bucket curl. Same problem, bucket still creeps to dump when idle. I figured by moving the hoses I would be using a different section of the control valve, is that a correct assumption? Could a hose cause this problem other than a leaky one? There are a couple hoses that are pretty dryrotted but not leaking. Any ideas on what to check? I cant move the dump/curl hoses to the loader lift control valve outputs as the hoses are different sizes so I cant troubleshoot that way. Any ideas would be appreciated.

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
